Denise Cowburn is a Workforce Development Specialist for ToolingU-SME, an industry leader in manufacturing workforce education and development. She has served as a practitioner of best-in-class learning and development techniques for the manufacturing industry for over 25 years. Her extensive background includes workforce development for Lakeland Community College in Ohio. She also brings hands-on experience in manufacturing as she assisted her family in running a small machine shop for several years. For the past 12 years, she has guided the implementation of workforce education and skills training into corporations across the globe to help develop their workforce with success, as well as facilitated workshops on best practices and various webinars. She resides in Ohio.
Amy Hodous possesses a diverse background of Human Resources experience in roles varying from HR Generalist to HR Director. Currently, Amy leads her own HR Consulting business and is also the Human Resources Consultant for the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). What she enjoys most about her work is assisting businesses in reaching their potential through their people. Her more than 15 years of experience includes organizational design, coaching and advising managers, resolving complex employee engagement and employee relations challenges, performance management, training, benefits and 401(k), payroll, policies and compliance, acquisitions, restructuring, change management, communications, project management, and recruiting. Amy has worked in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, technology, professional services, healthcare, non-profit, food service, retail, and the arts. She earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Miami University.
