Innovation Development

OVERVIEW

The Innovation Development Manager provides front-line communications with our manufacturing members, listening to the needs of our members and matching those needs to either internal or external resources to address those needs. The position will a) meet our obligations to the Industry 4.0 grant, b) provide content to the Manufacturing Services Technology Committee, c) support the CIRI team regarding manufacturing inquiries, d) match member needs to internal or external programming or services e) develop and maintain programs and services created for members f) target non-member manufacturers for membership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with manufacturers and guide them to appropriate programs or services, either within our organization or outside of our organization
  • Collect information and data which leads to market analysis reports used by the organization to report to stakeholders
  • Serve as a liaison to team members and committees on matters related to program advancement, including content to support inbound and outbound marketing efforts
  • Event planning, execution ,and follow-up activities
  • Organize outreach and meetings to ensure programs, projects and other activity milestones are being met
  • Maintain and record activities into our CRM in a timely fashion
  • Embody the core values of the organization and serve as an ambassador to internal and external audiences
  • Position is full-time

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • 10 Years in any one or more positions in manufacturing operations, supply chain, procurement, quality management, production scheduling, engineering, machinist (metalworking, raw materials, food processing, chemicals, plastics, rubber), discreet or process manufacturing
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Dynamics CRM applications
  • Providing content for inbound and outbound marketing efforts
  • Prefer working experience with both a large manufacturer and a small to mid-size owner-operator

Education:

  • Degree, trade certification, and professional association involvement beneficial
  • Experience within manufacturing environments can be used in lieu of educational degrees

Personal Characteristics:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Functions well in a continually evolving environment
  • Performs routine tasks/responsibilities without supervision; ability to multi-task
  • Comfortable in and around manufacturing facilities
