NORTH RIDGEVILLE, OH — On May 9, 2025, 33 manufacturing students from Amherst Steele, Firelands,
Lorain County Joint Vocational School, and Midview High Schools joined the Lorain County
Manufacturing Sector Partnership (LCMSP) and OhioMeansJobs Lorain County for an exclusive plant
tour of Beckett Thermal Solutions, a leading manufacturer of high-performance thermal products.
Held in conjunction with the State of Ohio’s In-Demand Jobs Week, the event exposed 9th–12th grade
students to the cutting-edge world of advanced manufacturing through a guided tour of Beckett
Thermal Solution’s North Ridgeville facility. Students experienced real-world applications of robotics,
automation, Solidworks, and press systems used in modern production processes, gaining firsthand
exposure to the technology and teamwork that drive today’s manufacturing sector.
The tour reinforced the goals of In-Demand Jobs Week by connecting students directly with careers that
are critical to Ohio’s economy. As they explored the facility, students learned about high-demand roles
in manufacturing—from engineering and robotics to skilled trades—gaining a clearer understanding of
the pathways available to them through local training programs and career-technical education. “We’re
thrilled to help connect students to the exciting opportunities in advanced manufacturing,” said
Christopher Brown, Director of the Lorain County Manufacturing Sector Partnership. “Experiences like
this help students see how their education translates directly into meaningful, high-demand careers
with strong earning potential.”
The event offered valuable insights not only into technical processes but also into the diverse career
pathways available in Lorain County’s industrial sector. Beckett Thermal Solutions staff and engineers
hosted a Q&A session, sharing their career journeys and encouraging students to explore local training
and employment options.
LCMSP and OhioMeansJobs Lorain County extend their thanks to Beckett Thermal Solutions for opening
their doors and investing in the next generation of manufacturing talent.
