Are you ready to lead your own manufacturing company? Authentic leadership starts with your passion. We would like to learn about you, help you learn from others, and work with you to further develop the toolkit you’ll need to optimize your leadership skills.

Our goal is to help prepare the next generation of manufacturing leaders. This process takes different forms for different individuals and we’ve designed the program to be participant-led. We are now accepting applications for this trailblazing cohort and encourage you to act now by applying today!

Manufacturing Works’ Leadership Institute provides a high-level overview of all aspects acquiring and operating a manufacturing business, while also exploring your leadership strengths and other high-potential future career paths.

Target Audience

Future owners of manufacturing or manufacturing-related companies, current business owners seeking to acquire a new business, and future senior leaders (President, C-suite). The program will have a heavy focus on women and people of color.

Participants Will

  • Understand, grow and refine their capacity for authentic leadership
  • Learn high-level transferable executive and operational business skills
  • Expand and diversify their professional network
  • Improve their marketability by bringing new talents and connections to current and future professional roles

  • Personal reflection and self-discovery (what really motivates you?)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving sessions
  • AMA (ask me anything) sessions with current business owners and leaders
  • Individual e-learning
  • Extensive interaction with subject matter experts on topics including, but not limited to: Executive Presence; Workplace Culture; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Manufacturing Technology; and Strategic Planning

Application Process

  • Interested participants should complete the online application and submit a current resume and professional letter of recommendation
  • Applicants will be reviewed and selected by an internal committee, then notified either way
  • Once selected, participants will be prompted to register and pay for the program
